So I'm on my way (in three minutes) for my Gestational Diabetes test.
I'm so nervous.
That drink could have been worse, but I tried to drink it fast (since its orange and I really don't like orange flavors)and it made my stomach hurt. Yucky.
It has this weird like..tingly carbonated feeling/taste. It wasn't good.
Now all I can think about is how ironic would it be if I had GD?
For two reasons:
1.) Scott has diabetes and how much would that suck if we both had to take insulin :( !!
2.) The theme for my baby shower is SWEETS! and CANDY! GEEZ LOUISE! That would seriously stink.
I'm definitely nervous.
Oh but we did pick up our new car yesterday! I LOVE IT! So excited to drive it to St. Marys! haha.
It will be one of the farthest lengths I've driven it! :)
34 weeks!
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
