34 weeks!

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Shower, Yoga, Cars, and Loneliness

Well. I'm 29 weeks now. Only 11 to go.
Baby girl is bumpin' away right now and I love it. I love sitting here with my shirt up and rubbing my belly. I love feeling her roll and kick under my hands. Its amazing. Looking back, I don't even know how I made it through those months where I couldn't feel her all the time. Its the most amazing feeling. Its like she is saying "I'm here Mommy, and I'm okay!"

A woman on my birth board, on the babycenter forums, gave birth to her baby at about 27 weeks. It was amazing to me to see pictures of her little girl and to think there was a little girl inside me about the same size. I'm amazed by that idea. How can something so beautiful be inside me? I can't imagine. She reassures me though as she sits here kicking away! :) Every time I go to the doctor, they say she looks great and sounds great. She is getting so big. I can hardly wait to meet her! (But I can because I want her to wait another 11 weeks and be bigger and stronger so she can home with us right away!)

Our shower is going to be August 15th. I'm so excited. I've finished making the invites and am hopefully going to mailing them out tomorrow. They were a lot of work and I am SO ready to just get them OUT of the house! Here is what they look like :

Mom and Dad are in Florida this week. I never though I could be this lonely. I'm so bored. Scott works all night and afternoon, and doesn't get home till 11pm. Its tough to be home all day by myself. Then I'm so tired around the time that he gets home. Plus he works in Madison, has to take a shower, and eat when he gets home so by the time we actually get to spend any time together, its after midnight. I'm so exhausted nowadays that it sucks not having him here. I look forward to the weekends a lot.

I have my yoga classes on Wednesday night and I love them. I only have one more session of this month of classes. I cannot believe how fast July has gone by! I'm hoping to take the August round of yoga classes too because they really help me relax and feel good about myself and being pregnant. I hope that it will help a lot with labor and delivery too. I've heard yoga can help a lot, so I hope that it will. Our teacher printed a list of the exercises that we do, so I hope that I can remember them and use them when I'm in labor.

Scott and I are purchasing a car on Monday and are SO excited!! Its a 2007 Kia Optima. It only has 30,800 miles on it. We test drove it and I loved it. I cannot wait till we pick it up on Monday! This is such a big step for us and I'm so excited! Its going to be such a great safe family car! Here is it!:

Next weekend we are going to have a maternity shoot with Kelly! I'm so excited! I really have to start thinking of what I'm going to wear! I want to get a big lollipop too so I have to figure out where I can buy one!

Tomorrow Kelly is coming over after work. We are going to scrapbook and have dinner. I hope that I can start my pregnancy scrapbook! I really need to get started on it! I have so much to do before little Macyn gets here! Friday Grandma is coming up and Saturday we are going to the Waunafest craft fair! So excited for that as well!
